Santa Cruz County Early Care and Education Professional Development Planning Toolkit

The Santa Cruz County Child Care Planning Council's Workforce Development Committee, chaired by Julie Olsen Edwards, with consultation from Nancy k Brown, has developed a comprehensive Early Care and Education Professional Development Planning Toolkit. Our hope is that this toolkit will support advisors in giving accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive advising services to their clients. We also hope that it will help to streamline the advising process for the Early Care and Education workforce by providing a consistent framework for professional development advising in the field of ECE.

This project is still in draft form and is currently being piloted by the Santa Cruz County STARS program at the COE and the First 5 Santa Cruz County Early Literacy Foundations program. Based on feedback from the pilot, updates will be posted throughout the 2007-2008 program year. Please check here frequently for the latest updates.

Your feedback on these forms is also encouraged and appreciated! To share your thoughts or to ask questions about this project, please contact the Child Care Planning Council Coordinator at 477-5521 or by email.

Below are the components of the toolkit, which can be viewed and/or downloaded and printed to form a biner. Section numbers refer back to the Table of Contents and can be used to create a tabbed binder.
